Catalans Dragons have taken American Football player Brent Calloway on a week-long trial.

The former University of Alabama Running Back will train with the Dragons reserve team this week.

Calloway, 22 years old, 185 cm for 100 kg shows great qualities by running the 100 m in 10.8 seconds.

Catalans Dragons CEO Christophe Jouffret said : “It’s interesting to work with him and to give him the opportunity to show his qualities.”

“We’ll take a decision at the end of the week.”

“He will train with our reserve this week and will have physical and technical tests with the staff.”

“It’s interesting to gauge the capacity to adapt to the Rugby League for an athlete coming from another sport.”
