Catalans Dragons will be without in-form Elliott Whitehead for several weeks, as he suffered an ankle injury during last weekend’s defeat to Bradford.

The Catalans second row scored 9 tries this season in 9 Super League appearances.

Catalans Dragons headcoach Laurent Frayssinous said : “It’s a big loss for us, Elliott has been outstanding this season so far.”

“But I am pleased for Elliott that it is not a fracture, as it was feared after the game.”
