Dragons fish a Shark

Catalans Dragons have finally signed their first recruit for 2014 season with the capture of NRL Cronulla Sharks centre Ben Pomeroy for the next 2 seasons.

Ben Pomeroy, who will turn up 30 in January, played for Cronulla since 2006 after joining them from Penrith Panthers. He is a classy centre of 1.87m for 98kg who has played representative football for city-country as well Australian Prime Minister XIII.

Catalans Dragons Head coach Laurent Frayssinous is very happy to have signed such a quality player:
“Ben has played over 160 NRL games and will bring all his experience to our squad. He had a very good season last year and has been elected 2sd best player of his club in 2013 just after Cronulla’s star Todd Carney. He is very powerful, he run and tackle hard. He will be an asset to our attack and defensive line and will adapt perfectly to our team spirit against our opponents”
