Bousquet banned for three matches

Catalans Dragons player Julien Bousquet will miss the Tetley's Challenge Cup quarter-final against Hull FC on Saturday after an RFL Disciplinary Tribunal found him guilty of making a reckless tackle on Scott Wheeldon of London Broncos.

Bousquet pleaded guilty to the Grade C offence, which involved him applying dangerous pressure to the head and neck of Wheeldon in the 57th minute of a Super League Round 21 fixture last Saturday. He was suspended for three matches and fined £300.

Should Catalan Dragons win Saturday's match, which is being televised live on BBC2, Bousquet will also be unavailable for the semi-final.

The Tribunal found Hull FC captain Gareth Ellis not guilty of the Grade B charge of recklessly striking Luke Robinson of Huddersfield Giants in the 62nd minute of a Super League Round 21 fixture at KC Stadium on Sunday.

The decision clears Ellis to play in the quarter-final at Stade Gilbert Brutus on Saturday (4.00).
