Two players to face RFL Disciplinary Tribunal

Hull FC forward Gareth Ellis and Julien Bousquet of Catalan Dragons will appear before an RFL Disciplinary Tribunal this evening after being charged with offences in their clubs’ Super League Round 21 fixtures.

Ellis has been charged with the Grade B offence of striking Luke Robinson of Huddersfield Giants in the 62nd  minute of the match at KC Stadium on Sunday July 7. The Hull FC captain had the option of submitting an Early Guilty Plea but has elected to contest the charge.

Ellis was also issued with a formal caution for making dangerous contact with Dale Ferguson in the 57th  minute of the same match.

Bousquet has been charged with the Grade C offence of making dangerous contact with Scott Wheeldon of London Broncos in the 57th  minute of the fixture at Stade Gilbert Brutus on Saturday July 6.  Bousquet did not have the option of submitting an Early Guilty Plea.

Any suspensions imposed by the Tribunal would rule the players out of the Tetley's Challenge Cup quarter-final tie between the two clubs, which will televised live on BBC2 at 4.00pm on Saturday.

The following players were each suspended for one match after submitting Early Guilty Pleas earlier today:

Logan Tomkins (Wigan Warriors) – Grade B dangerous contact with Michael Platt of Bradford Bulls in the 32nd  minute;

Ryan Boyle (Castleford Tigers) – Grade B high tackle on Francis Meli of St Helens in the 72nd  minute;

Mathias Pala (Catalan Dragons) – Grade B striking on Luke Dorn of London Broncos in the 27th minute.
