Two major games for Dragons Wheelchair

Catalans Dragons wheelchair team will play two major games in August.

Winner of the French Championship and of the Coupe de France last season, they will try to lift two new trophies later this month.

Catalans Dragons will face Leeds Rhinos in the Betfred Wheelchair Challenge Cup Final at Sheffield’s English Institute of Sport next month.

They finished joint top of the table at a qualifying Festival at Hull University’s Allam Sport Centre on Saturday, to set up a repeat of last year’s Final which the Rhinos won 48-34 to maintain their grip on the Cup which stretches back to 2019.

The 2023 Final will be played on Sunday August 20. BBC Sport will complete another hat-trick of Challenge Cup Finals when the Betfred Wheelchair Challenge Cup Final between Leeds Rhinos and Catalans Dragons is shown live on iPlayer (KO 1pm) – and also the BBC Sport website and app, meaning it will be accessible in France and well beyond. The 2023 Betfred Wheelchair Challenge Cup Final will be played at the English Institute of Sport in Sheffield – and a limited number of tickets are still available
