The context

Catalans Dragons are ready to kick-off their 2023 Super League season at Wakefield on Friday, February 17, kick-off at 8.30pm CET at the  Be Well Support Stadium.

Following a loss in the quarter-final last season over Leeds, the Dragons are set to start their 18th Super League season with a trip to Wakefield, who finished 10th in 2022.

4 players have joined Wakefield including former Dragons' player Samisoni Langi. Kevin Proctor (Gold Coast Titans), Morgan Smith (Featherstone) and Antoni Renouf (Sydney Roosters) also signed for Wakefield ahead of the 2023 campaign. They have won 3 of their 4 friendly games during the preaseason while the Dragons have beaten the Elite 1 selection in their only friendly game two weeks ago.

New signings Adam Keighran, Romain Navarrete, Siua Taukeiaho, Tom Johnstone and Manu Ma’u have been named in the squad for the first game of the season.
