The weekend of the representative Dragons

16 Catalans Dragons players have represented their national teams this weekend before the start of the Rugby League World Cup.
For their last test-match, France have been beaten 48-12 against Tonga.
Fouad Yaha, Samisoni Langi, Arthur Romano, Arthur Mourgue, Benjamin Garcia, Benjamin Jullien, Paul Séguier, Jordan Dezaria and Alrix Da Costa where in the starting XIII while Mickael Goudemand, Corentin Le Cam and César Rougé started the game on the bench.
Siosiua Taukeiaho was in the starting line-up with Tonga. The prop who will join the Dragons in 2023 scored 12 points in this match.
Thanks to a perfect try assist from Arthur Mourgue, César Rougé scored his first try with France.

Mike McMeeken and Micky McIlorum helped England to secure an outstanding 50-0 win over Fidji. Both Dragons players combined for England’s 7th try with Micky McIlorum providing an assist for Mike McMeeken.

Dean Whare also scored a try this weekend. Named in the New Zealand Kiwis’ squad to take on Leeds in a World Cup test-match, he played a part in the Kiwis’ impressive 74-0 victory, scoring a try in the second half.

England Knights’ captain Matt Whitley clinched a second win in two games. After having won against France B last weekend, they have beaten 28-4 Scotland.
