While the 2022/23 French Elite Championship season starts this weekend, the club has made some changes in the reserve team St Estève XIII Catalan.

The main one is the arrival of former Catalans Dragons assistant coach Eamon O’Carroll as reserve team headcoach. He will be assisted by Justin Murphy and Patrick Noguera.

Julien Touxagas (Manager), Alexandre Ferrer & Jean Szarvas (Performance), Samuel Carcasona & Frédéric Desabres (Physios) and René Méréo (Logistics) are also in the staff.

The U19 team will be managed by Justin Murphy and Patrick Noguera.

Once again, the reserve team will be one of the youngest team of the French Elite Championship with a 20 years-old average.

The squad has been significantly renewed following the leaving of the captain Romain Khedimi, of Thibaut Franck, Louis Carré, Jayson Goffin, Ugo Salabio, Robin Brochon and Florian Vailhen.

As last season, the reserve team will have many U19 players. 13 players out of the 30 named in the reserve team squad played for the U19 last year.

Maxence Barbet (Salon), Tom Bonillo, Nicolas Chalmey (Albi), Julien Laporte (Carcassonne) et Salim Nahal (Lézignan) are also joining the reserve team.
