Dragons vs Warrington : Match Preview

SUPER LEAGUE | MAGIC WEEKEND
CATALANS DRAGONS vs WARRINGTON WOLVES
ST JAMES' PARK, NEWCASTLE
SUNDAY 10 JULY | 4.15pm CEST

The context

Catalans Dragons face Warrington Wolves on Sunday, July 10, in the Magic Weekend at St James' Park.

Sam Tomkins' teammates will be looking to confirm their impressive win over leaders St Helens last week and close the gap at the top of the Super League table. They will need to get the win against the Wolves, who have a difficult season, currently 10th in Super League.

With the big clash between St Helens and Wigan on Saturday, the Dragons could move back to two points of the leader if Wigan win or take the second place back if Saints win, provided that Catalans beat Warrington on Sunday at Newcastle.

It will be the first meeting between the two sides at a Magic Weekend.

Watch live on Sky Sports and beIN SPORTS.

The squad

Steve McNamara has named his squad to face Warrington.

Arthur Mourgue, Tom Davies, Julian Bousquet, Mike McMeeken and Jordan Dezaria will miss the game through injury. Suspended following the win over St Helens last Saturday, Micky McIlorum, Dylan Napa and Sam Kasiano won't play this weekend either.

Recalled from their loan spell at the start of the week, Corentin Le Cam, Mathieu Cozza, César Rougé and Romain Franco are in the squad to travel to Newcastle.

Tiaki Chan makes his first appearance in the Dragons' squad.
