Catalans Dragons have ended their unbeaten run as they have been beaten 26-12 by Huddersfield at the John Smith's Stadium.

After a day full of twists and turns that saw the Dragons take off from Toulouse due to fly strong winds over Perpignan, Steve McNamara's men arrived at the John Smith's Stadium with 30 minutes to go before kick-off, delayed at 9.20pm CEST.

Despite the opening try scored by Samisoni Langi, the Giants pushed Catalans' defence back and scored two consecutive tries in the first half. The Dragons reduced the gap before half-time through the first 2022 Super League try of Tom Davies but it wasn't enough for the Dragons as Huddersfield made the difference in the last 40 minutes to ensure them an important home victory.

Next game will be at the Gilbert Brutus stadium on Saturday as the Dragons will host St Helens in the Quarter-Finals of the Challenge Cup.
