beIN SPORTS to broadcast Betfred Super League in 2022


 
 

Super League, Catalans Dragons and beIN SPORTS FRANCE are pleased to announce a new broadcast agreement to cover the 2022 Betfred Super League.   

The deal covers 9 of the 13 Catalans Dragons home games as well as a number of additional Super League fixtures, including the Play-Offs and the Grand Final.   Dragons games played in the UK and broadcast on Sky Sports are also part of the deal. As a result, the Dragons' 2022 season opener against St Helens at Totally Wicked Stadium, scheduled for Thursday February 10, will be broadcast live on beIN SPORTS. During this opening round, beIN SPORTS will also broadcast live the first-ever Toulouse Olympique game (against Huddersfield) on Saturday February 12.

Super League can also confirm that Sky Sports will broadcast Catalans first two home games of the season when the Dragons take on Wakefield Trinity on Saturday 19 February and then Wigan Warriors on Saturday 12 March.

On the announcement Ken Davy, Super League chairman, said ‘On the back of a fantastic 2021 season for Catalans Dragons it is great that we can reach an agreement that will see beIN SPORTS broadcast so many games from France. The fantastic scenes in Perpignan when the Dragons defeated Hull KR in the semi-final to make the 2021 Grand Final will live long in the memory.’ 

Catalans Dragons Chairman Bernard Guasch said ‘I’m delighted to have reached this agreement with beIN SPORTS, which remains the Rugby League channel in France. This is a great news for our fans but also our sponsors who will be benefit from the club's media exposure.’
