Steve McNamara has signed a new two-year contract with the club.

Catalans Dragons Headcoach, whose contract is due to expire at the end of the season, will remain at the Gilbert Brutus Stadium until the end of the 2024 campaign.

The former England coach arrived at the club mid-saison in 2017. He led the Dragons to their first ever trophy, winning the Challenge Cup in 2018, a year after saving the club from the relegation following their win in the Million Pound Game.

He deservedly took the Coach of the Year in 2021 for the first time in his career, having guided the club to a new trophy, winning the League Leaders’ and their maiden Grand Final.
