Dragons cleared to return to training

Catalans Dragons have been cleared to return to training today by the sport’s Multiple Cases Group, meaning that at this stage Thursday’s Betfred Super League fixture against Salford Red Devils can still go ahead as scheduled.

The club had been instructed to suspend training and shut down their training facility last Thursday after a number of positive tests for Covid-19, forcing the postponement of their fixture against Warrington Wolves scheduled for Thursday (August 19).

A lateral flow testing and a full round of PCR testing have since been undertaken by the club, reporting only negative results.

Two new full rounds of PCR testing will be undertaken today and tomorrow prior to traveling to England.
