Challenge Cup semi-finals draw details

The former Great Britain captain Jamie Peacock will conduct the draw for the Semi Finals of the 2021 Betfred Challenge Cup on Saturday evening, live on BBC2 during the half-time break in the second of the day’s televised Quarter Finals, between Castleford Tigers and Salford Red Devils.

The Semi Finals will be played on Saturday June 5, in a triple header kicking off with the Final of the Betfred Women’s Challenge Cup (venue and further details to be confirmed next week).

Both competitions are at the Quarter Final stage this weekend.

The battle to reach the last four of the Betfred Challenge Cup begins tonight with two Quarter Finals televised live on Sky Sports: Catalans Dragons versus Warrington Wolves in a repeat of the 2018 Final (kick-off 6pm), followed by St Helens versus Huddersfield Giants in a repeat of the 2006 Final.

On Saturday, BBC Sport will show Hull FC v Wigan Warriors, a repeat of several memorable Wembley Finals, the most recent in 2017, with a 230pm kick-off; followed by the Castleford-Salford clash which is a repeat of the 1969 Final, and kicks off at 530pm.

Both games will be live on BBC2, with coverage starting at 2pm.

All four Quarter Finals are being played on neutral ground at Emerald Headingley.

The ball numbers for the Semi Finals will be determined chronologically, as follows:

1 – Catalans Dragons or Warrington Wolves
2 – St Helens or Huddersfield Giants
3 – Hull FC or Wigan Warriors
4 – Castleford Tigers or Salford Red Devils
