Training schedule : Preseason week 1

Catalans Dragons will start the pre-season training on Monday.

Steve McNamara will welcome back a first group of players at the Gilbert Brutus Stadium.

We are all excited to be starting our preparations for the 2019 season. A huge amount of work and detail is ahead for the playing group. Underpinning everything that we do will be a philosophy of doing the basic things well. Keeping things simple helps give the players great clarity, done consistently over a period of time this will create cohesion. Our training will be highly competitive in all areas whilst enjoyable at the same time. Preseason is tough, it has to be in order to be ready for the challenges of Super League. At the same time it is a great period to improve without the pressure of games at the end of the week. Building trust and combinations within the group is essential during this time, something we didn’t have the luxury of last year. Whilst recognising the improvements the club made last season, we know we all need to evolve if we want to compete at the highest level this year.

The first group of 15 players will start on 12th November which includes Micky McIlorum, Rémi Casty, Greg Bird, Mika Simon, Antoni Maria, Kenny Edwards, Brayden Williame, Jodie Broughton, Julian Bousquet, Arthur Romano, Ben Garcia, Samisoni Langi, Paul Séguier and Arthur Mourgue.

New signing Matty Smith will take part into his first training session with the Dragons on the preseason Day 1.

19th of November will see David Mead and Lewis Tierney join the group before the 3rd of December having all internationals back in training, including Sam Tomkins and Matt Whitley.
