Vincent Duport has announced to the club his decision to retire from professional rugby league at the end of the season.

Named in the Catalans Dragons Team of the Decade, he became this season the club’s all-time leading try scorer with 87 tries.

Arrived at the club in 2007, he spent 12 seasons at the Dragons, having joined Toulouse in 2010 before returning to Perpignan.

Duport, 30, made 179 Super League appearances with the Dragons.

Vincent Duport

A page is turning, the one of my first life. Twelve awesome years, spent wearing the blood and gold jersey, playing for the Catalan Dragons. I leave with my head full of memories, proud to have been part of the rugby league family. This adventure has has given me so much and has built me as a man. The images scroll and you are present on each of them, you, the fans. Present in the good as in the bad times. It has been an honor to have played for you, for this club and its Chairman. A new life is coming! I leave at the end of 2018, a year no one will forget, the year of our victory at Wembley!

Steve McNamara, Headcoach

“Vincent has been a great servant and consummate professional for the club. His try scoring record speaks for itself. He will always remain a close friend of the club and we all look forward to seeing Vincent wear the jersey with pride over the last few games of this season.”
