Catalans Dragons were the first side to book their place in the semi-finals of the Ladbrokes Challenge Cup with a hard-fought 20-6 win over Huddersfield Giants at the John Smith's Stadium.
Josh Drinkwater kicked two penalties during the first period to give the Dragons a slender lead at half-time, but the Giants hit back just two minutes after the restart.
Captain Leroy Cudjoe, playing his first game of the season after recovering from major knee surgery, provided the inspiration with the opening try of the game, which was converted by Danny Brough.
However, the hosts were unable to build on that momentum as David Mead crossed just three minutes later and Greg Bird added another in the 66th minute.
Drinkwater produced a perfect kicking display, converting both tries to make it six goals from as many attempts on a memorable night for the Dragons.
