Thierry Dumaine to leave the club

Catalans Dragons can confirm that Academy Headcoach Thierry Dumaine will leave the club at the end of the month.

Arrived at the club in 2014, he seizes a professional opportunity at INSEP (French National Institute of Sport, expertise, and performance).

The game against Warrington Academy this afternoon at the Gilbert Brutus Stadium will be his last as the U19 headcoach.

Thierry Dumaine said: "I joined the Catalans Dragons in 2014 to lead a project that was important to me. I’ve worked with a staff who did a really good job and who helped to develop young French players. They have been rewarded today by their career development within the club. I have tried to do the best job possible to structure the Academy and we have been rewarded by the Category 1 Outstanding status. My mission at the club is complete, it is with a pinch to the heart that I leave the field for other missions now and I move away from the sport that is a job but especially a passion for more than 22 years. Finally, I would like to thank my staff, the players, their family as well as the club Directors, and more particularly Mathieu Khedimi who worked with me from the beginning of this project. I wish good luck to Bruno Vergès, Rodney Howe and all players for the rest of the season. "
