Lucas Albert produced a man-of-the-match performance as Catalans Dragons beat Hull KR 18-16 to secure their first Betfred Super League win of the season.

Albert kicked five goals and created a crucial try to ensure the Dragons earned revenge for their 23-4 defeat at Rovers three weeks ago.

Ryan Shaw and Albert traded penalties before Lewis Tierney touched down to give the hosts the lead in the 34th minute.

After Albert tagged on the extras, Shaw converted George Lawler's score under the posts to ensure Rovers went into the break level at 8-8.

Shaw booted a penalty and Albert added two more before Fouad Yaha touched down his kick in the right corner in the 64th minute to give the Dragons a 16-8 lead.

The score was level with 14 minutes remaining when Tony Gigot knocked on Danny McGuire's kick in the in-goal area and Justin Carney scored.

Shaw added the conversion but another penalty from Albert won the game for the hosts.
