Hull KR claimed their first win of the 2018 Betfred Super League season with a 23-4 defeat of Catalans Dragons.

Promoted Rovers showed a marked improvement at Leeds Rhinos in round two and they got off the mark at the third attempt to ensure the Dragons remain winless.

Ryan Shaw's acrobatic finish gave Rovers an early lead and they were 16-0 up at half-time thanks to quickfire tries from replacements Mose Masoe and Shaun Lunt.

Debutant Danny Tickle was next to score a try off the bench and Chris Atkin completed the scoring with a drop goal after David Mead had given Catalans brief hope of a comeback.
