Dragons represented in the opening round


 
 

The Dragons will be heavily represented in the opening round of the 2017 Rugby League World Cup, starting in Melbourne this Friday night.

11 Catalans Dragons players feature in the week one.

 

Group A

France team is dominated by Catalans players, with 7 players named in the Aurélien Cologni Squad.

Ben Garcia, Nabil Djalout, Jason Baitieri, Fouad Yaha, Lucas Albert, Julian Bousquet a Thibaud Margaled will face Lebanon on Sunday at Canberra.

 

Group B

Two Catalans Dragons players will face each other in the game 1 of the group B.

Lewis Tierney will start at Fullback for Scotland against a strong Tongan team, which includes Sam Moa who have been named on the bench.



Group C

Papua New Guinea, who will host the first of three pool matches in Port Moresby on Saturday, have named a strong side to play Wales, which includes Paul Aiton at lock.


 

Group D

Catalans Dragons center Brayden Wiliame has also been named in the Fiji squad by Head coach Mick Potter to face USA.
