U19 qualified for semi-final

Catalans Dragons U19 booked their spot in the semi-final after their 46-12 win at Bradford on Saturday.

They will take part to their first semi-final since the introduction of the Catalans Dragons in the Super League Academy Championship.

Catalans U19  finished 6th last season for their inaugural season and will make the Top 4 for the first time in the Club history.

Catalans Dragons U19 headcoach Thierry Dumaine said: “I’m delighted to have our U19 team qualified for the semi-final. We knew at the start of the season we need to improve our away form and we did it with 4 wins and a draw. This qualification is a reward for all the investments made by the club since the creation of the team 3 years ago, a reward for all the people involved in this project, directors, sponsors, fans…. “

“The 35 players have worked really hard week in week out since October and it’s a fair reward for them as well, as for all the staff, Bruno Verges, Maxence Rivière, Pierre Metzinger, Philippe Roques Patrick Priels, Romain Gardiole, Jean Mangrané ans Mathieu Khedimi.”

“A spot in the Top 4 was our goal at the start of the season and it’s now achieved. We have a last game at Newcastle this weekend to try to climb at the third position before the start of the playoffs.”
