Mark Percival’s 22-point haul helped St Helens secure a 46-28 victory over Catalans Dragons.
The England centre kicked nine goals and went over for the decisive score in the closing stages.
The result was only made certain late on as Saints scored three tries in six minutes, with Luke Thompson and Ryan Morgan following Percival over the whitewash.
Theo Fages, Alex Walmsley, Louie McCarthy-Scarsbrook and Jonny Lomax also touched down for the hosts.
Dragons scrum-half Luke Walsh put in an outstanding display against his old employers and had a hand in three Catalans tries, including a solo effort of his own.
Justin Horo, with a brace, Tony Gigot and Richie Myler were the other tryscorers for the visitors.
