Navarrete and Tierney join the Dragons


 
 

The club is delighted to confirm the signings of Romain Navarrete and Lewis Tierney on loan until the end of the season.

The two Wigan Warriors players arrived yesterday at Perpignan and will take part this morning into their first training session with their new team-mates.

Romain Navarrete is back at Brutus after having made his Super League debut and 11 appearances with the Dragons last year. The French International prop, 23, made 9 appearances with the Warriors this season.

Lewis Tierney, 22, can play on the wing or fullback. Tierney, who came through the Wigan Academy system, made his Super League debut in 2013. The Scotland international, who won the Super League title in 2016 and the World Club Challenge in 2017, scored 18 tries in 37 appearances under the Cherry and White jersey and 1 tries in three games with Scotland.

Catalans Dragons headcoach Steve McNamara said : “We are delighted to add Romain and Lewis to our squad. They add both quality and depth at an important time of the year”.
