Richie Myler to leave Catalans

Catalans Dragons can confirm Richie Myler will leave the club at the end of the season to join the Leeds Rhinos on a three-year contract.

Richie Myler said: “I would like to thank everyone at the Catalans Dragons who has made me and my family feel very welcome over the last two years. Now that my future is sorted it's time to work hard and finish the season the way we want it to end. We have a big task ahead of us and we appreciate all your support. We especially need it this week against Leigh with it been a vital match in our season.”

Myler, 27, has made 37 Super League appearances and scored 20 tries with the Catalans Dragons since his arrival at Perpignan last season.

Catalans Dragons CEO Christophe Jouffret added: “It has been a real pleasure to have a player of Richie’s caliber in our team over the last two years. The halfback position in really important and Richie has been tremendous to organize and take over the game plan. We understand and respect the decision of Richie and his family to open a new chapter in their respective career in England and we wish them all the best in their new life.”
