Romain Navarrete to leave Catalans

Catalans Dragons can confirm Romain Navarrete will leave the club at the end of the season.

The Catalan Prop will join Wigan Warriors next season on a two-year deal.

Romain Navarrete said: “I would like to thank the club for giving me the opportunity to play in the Super League. My wish was to stay here but I have always dreamt to play for Wigan and I couldn’t refuse this opportunity.”

Navarrete has made 11 appearances since making his Super League debut against Huddersfield in May.

Club CEO Christophe Jouffret said: “It’s always disappointing to lose a homegrown player but, as other French players, Romain will have a great experience in UK that will enrich its potential for the benefit of the National Team and I’m sure he will come back home stronger. We would like to wish him all the best for his new Challenge at Wigan.”
