Jacob Miller kicked a late drop goal from range as Wakefield Trinity Wildcats twice came from behind to beat Catalans Dragons 25-24 on First Utility Super League's Magic Weekend at St James' Park.

The Wildcats had been 14-0 down in the first half thanks to tries from Dragons trio Justin Horo, Jodie Broughton and Tony Gigot, but the comeback began first when Ben Jones Bishop made the most of an intercept to blaze down the right wing and score.

After half-time Jones-Bishop was in the thick again, this time with help from Joe Arundel. Mikey Sio then got the Wildcats ahead but further twists remained.

Vincent Duport and Broughton proceeded to cross over in quick succession just before the hour, but one missed conversion out of those kept the score at 24-18.

Wakefield levelled the scores, Mickael Simon doing the honours from five metres with Liam Finn converting, and just when a draw seemed likely the final twist came with just two minutes left, as Miller slotted a superb drop goal from 50 metres out to hand Wakefield a dramatic win.
