Hull FC made it back-to-back wins to start the First Utility Super League season as they ran in seven tries to beat Catalans Dragons 38-10.

The first of Fetuli Talanoa's two tries and Sika Manu's powerful surge to the line were both cancelled out by Pat Richards touching down, while the Catalans winger also added a goal to level the game at 10-10.

Hull surged ahead as Josh Bowden's second try of the campaign was followed by Jack Logan crossing the whitewash, and Marc Sneyd's second and third goal of the contest made it 22-10 at the break.

A one-sided second period followed. Despite being a man short due to Leon Pryce's yellow card, Hull added 10 points as Gareth Ellis grabbed a try on his return from a lengthy injury absence and Sneyd kicked another two goals.

Talanoa's second try made it 34-10 before the winger's break led to Jamie Shaul crossing for try number seven.
