Rémi Casty will lead the Dragons in 2016 having been appointed as captain of the club.

Rémi Casty said: “I’m really proud to be captain of this team. It’s a huge honor to represent the club, in particular this season, with the club celebrating his Tenth anniversary. I know I’ll be supported by my team mates and I’m looking forward to starting the 2016 Super League season.”

The French prop was the club captain in 2012 and 2013 and after his return from the Sydney Roosters last season.

 Catalans Dragons headcoach Laurent Frayssinous said: “It was not a hard decision for me, Rémi was an obvious choice to everyone in this role.”

“He is a natural leader and is highly respected players within our group. “

 “He is an example on and off the field, who always gives his best for the team.”

 “He will be heavily supported by a group of leaders.”
