Catalans Dragons Chairman Bernard Guasch has been fined £1000 for publicly criticising a match referee following the First Utility Super League fixture against Huddersfield Giants played at Stade Gilbert Brutus on Saturday July 18.

Mr Guasch was deemed to be in breach of RFL Operational Rule D1.1 (b) (improper conduct); Operational Rule 2.8 (criticism of officials); and the RFL Respect Policy.

Mr Guasch has also been warned as to his future conduct.

Mr Guasch has 14 days in which to appeal the decision at an independent RFL Operational Rules Tribunal.
