New deal for Louis Anderson

Catalans Dragons forward Louis Anderson signed today a new two year contract with the club.

The former New Zealand international will remain at the Gilbert Brutus Stadium until the end of the 2017 campaign.

Louis Anderson said: “I’m very happy to represent the Catalans Dragons for two more years.”

“The club is very ambitious and I respect where the club has come from and the people who have been part of building the Dragons.”

“I look forward to hard work and contributing to what the club wants to achieve.”

Anderson, 30, joined the Dragons from Warrington Wolves in 2012 and has scored 18 tries in 68 appearances for the Perpignan club.

He became a key player in the Catalans pack, missing only two games this season so far.

Catalans Dragons headcoach Laurent Frayssinous commented: “I’m really satisfied to keep Louis at the club for the next two seasons.”

“He is outstanding this season so far, playing prop or back rower.”

“He is a powerful and aggressive player, with great skills and agility.”

“He is here for 4 seasons now and is well integrated in the catalan culture.”

Club CEO Christophe Jouffret added: “Louis is one of the leaders in our pack.”

“The experience of this former New Zealand international will be valuable in our squad, especially for the young players who are coming through.”

“He is an example for all the young players at the club.”

“He settled up really well here and we are delighted that he decided to finish his carreer at the Dragons.”
