Catalans Dragons can confirm Gadwin Springer will leave the club with immediate effect to join Castleford Tigers.

A transfer fee has been agreed with the Tigers to allow the French prop to join his new club on a two-year-and-a-half deal.

Springer has made 3 Super League appearances and scored 1 try.

Catalans CEO Christophe Jouffret commented: “We are of course disappointed of his decision to leave the club.”

“He has a great potential and could have a promising future.”

“We invested a lot on his development and allowed him to become a professional player and we regret that he did not accept the good contract we offered to him.”
