Gilbert Brutus Stadium
The Brutus Stadium has been the scene of many memorable moments in Catalan and French rugby league during the seventies, eighties and nineties.
The large Bonzoms Stand was entirely renovated in 2007 and now has 3000 “blood and gold” seats.
This year planning permission has been given by local government to start the renovation work needed to comply with conditions laid down by the RFL within the franchise framework.
The Gilbert Brutus Stadium with its new configuration, as can be seen in the photographs opposite, will be a true Super League stadium. It will have a capacity of 13,180 and will be equipped with all the infrastructures necessary for the development of a professional sports club, both in a sporting and in a commercial sense. The first part of the work, which started at the beginning of 2010, will see the construction of a viewing box, reception rooms, restaurant, bar, a new shop and administrative buildings. New cloakrooms and interactive open spaces will also be put in place beneath the Bonzoms Stand. The future stand will have 2500 seated places.
