Zydus is the new major sponsor.

The international pharmaceutical group, Zydus, already a sponsor of the club, has just added to their commitment to the Catalan Dragons for the 2011 Super League season.  The Dragons will play with the Zydus logo on their chests for the home matches.  “For Zydus, the mission of a laboratory is more than simply the provision of proprietary medicines.  By developing and manufacturing generic medicines, we wish to contribute to the ease of access to care for the greatest number of people, and this worldwide.  We also commit ourselves to acting responsibly at environmental and social levels, as well on the medical front everywhere where we are present.  Zydus laboratories have also made alliances with other large pharmaceutical groups, making it possible to develop innovating products, for example:

 Schering AG in the area of women's health

 Boehringer Ingelheim in gastro-enterology

 Viatris in the area of asthma

 Baxter in cancer treatment

 Hospira with injectable products for oncology

 Today we are working with the Catalan Dragons because the values of this club, and rugby league, correspond to the values of our laboratory: honesty, compliance with the rules, and support for the partners…. health and preventive medicine.  Moreover the ongoing relations that we have with your Vice President and pharmacist Philippe Arcens reinforce our desire to be on the side of pharmacy and to support local events.  Finally we are hoping for a beautiful rugby season for the Catalan Dragons and the sharing of powerful events on the pitch.”  declared Karl Parance, chairman of Zydus France.
