8 players leave the club
Catalans Dragons can confirm 8 players will leave the club at the end of the season.
While the departures of Micky McIlorum, Tom Davies, Mike McMeeken and Tom Johnstone have been confirmed during the season, others have just been made official. 4 other players, who were out of contract at the end of the season, won’t be extended by the club.
Matt Ikuvalu, Manu Ma'u, Jordan Abdull and Jarrod Wallace will leave the club.
Following the final home match of the season on Saturday against London Broncos, a ceremony will be held at the end of the match to celebrate the 8 players who will be leaving Catalans Dragons.
Micky McIlorum, who arrived in 2018, made 115 appearances for the Dragons and scored 8 tries. A key player, the England international clinched the Challenge Cup, the League Leaders’ Shield and took part to 2 Super League Grand Finals with the club in 7 seasons spent in the South of France. The England hooker will join Hull KR.

He will be joined by Tom Davies who is also moving to the Robins next season. Arrived at the club in 2020, the England winger celebrated his 100th Super League game for the Dragons and has scored 56 tries.
The departures of Mike McMeeken and Tom Johnstone were also confirmed in May. Out of contract at the end of the season, both players will join Wakefield.
Arrived in Perpignan in 2021 from Castleford, Mike McMeeken scored 16 tries in 80 games under the Catalans’ jersey. He played both Grand Finals at Old Trafford in 2021 and 2023.

Tom Johnstone quickly becaming fans favourite. Arrived last season, he scored 37 tries in 46 appearances. Named best winger of the Super League in 2023, he has also been recalled to the England squad.
The leaving of Matt Ikuvalu has also been confirmed. Former Cronulla Sharks player, the Australian centre joined the club during the 2023 season. He quickly became an important member of the squad, scoring 12 tries in 37 games for the Dragons.

Jordan Abdull is also one of the players who will be leaving the club at the end of the season. On loan rom Hull KR, the England playmaker made 14 Super League appearances, made 10 try assists and scored 3 tries.

Jarrod Wallace and Manu Ma’u won’t play for the Dragons next season either. Jarrod Wallace joined Perpignan last July from the Dolphins in NRL. Having played 5 games so far, he won’t wear Catalans Dragons’ colours in 2025.

Injured throughout the 2024 season, Manu Ma'u hasn’t played this season. The New Zealand second row made 18 Super League appearances in 2023.
