2022 Season Review


 
 

Catalans Dragons have closed their 17th Super League season with a third consecutive qualification for the play-offs.

After a 4th place in 2020 and a semi-final loss against St Helens, the Dragons made history last year by winning the League Leader’s Shield before having played their first Grand Final ever at Old Trafford. Despite the quarter-final defeat over Leeds this year, Steve McNamara’s men have just completed another season filled in emotion.

With 16 wins in 27 games during the regular season, this year has been marked by the club’s victory in the first French Derby in the Super League’s history against Toulouse. A double win over Toulouse at Brutus and at Ernest-Wallon which helped the Catalans to secure their place in the Top 4 of the competition.

As last season, Fouad Yaha finished club’s top try scorer with 20 tries in 22 appearances.

The French winger scored his 88th try for the Dragons last May against Warrington to become the club’s all-time leading try scorer. He has now scored 100 tries in 149 games for the Dragons ahead of Vincent Duport (87 tries) and Clint Greenshields (86 tries).
