The context

Catalans Dragons host Toulouse Olympique on Saturday 15th March, in their second pre-season friendly. Following their win over the Selection Elite 1 last weekend at the Aimé-Giral Stadium, the Catalans are finally back to Brutus.
This friendly game will be the last before the launch of the 2021 Betfred Super League, which will start on Saturday 27th March against Hull KR.
Toulouse will start their Championship season at York in April, with the ambition to be promoted in Super League for the first time of their history.

The game will be live streamed and available on the club’s Official YouTube channel, with live commentary. 

 

The squad

Here is the squad named by Steve McNamara to face Toulouse.

Ben Garcia and Julian Bousquet are back in the squad. The staff will not take any risk with Tom Davies and Gil Dudson, who will miss this game and will also be without suspended duo Micky McIlorum and Joel Tomkins.
Several players from the reserve team have been named in the squad : Robin Brochon, Jordan Dezaria, Jordan Flovie, Romain Franco, César Rougé, Florian Vailhen and Valentin Zafra.

The Dragons and Toulouse have already played against each other five times. The last game between both teams ended with a 22-10 Dragons victory over Toulouse in Carcassonne, in January 2020.
