Sydney Roosters will step up their preparations for the World Club Challenge by facing the Catalans Dragons in an opposed training session in Barcelona.

The NRL Champions will face St Helens in the World Club Challenge and will spend some days in the Catalunya capital before joining the UK.

There are many connections between the two clubs : Trent Robinson was the Catalans Dragons headcoach from 2011 to 2012, many Catalans players also played for the Roosters Sam Moa, James Maloney, Samisoni Langi, Jason Baitieri or Rémi Casty and Catalans Dragons Headcoach Steve McNamara was the Rooster’s assistant coach from 2013 to 2016.

The training will be open to the fans on Tuesday, February 18 at 10.30 am at the Baldiri Aleu stadium (Sant Boi de Llobregat).
