Full time contract for Mickael Goudemand

Catalans Dragons loose forward Mickael Goudemand has today signed his first full time contract with the club.

The French rising star, named Rookie of the Year, commits his future to the Dragons for the next 3 seasons and will remain at the Gilbert Brutus Stadium until the end of the 2021 campaign.

The French International arrived in 2018 at the club to play for the reserve team St Estève XIII Catalan.

He quickly joined the Dragons training squad before making his debuts against Whitehaven at home in the Challenge Cup.

He then made 9 Super League appearances and played the Challenge Cup Final at Wembley, winning his second trophy of the season after having lifted the Coupe de France with the reserve team earlier in the season.

Mickael Goudemand

“I’m very happy to sign my first full time contract with the Catalans Dragons. It was my main goal when I joined the club’s reserve team. This season has been magical for me, with my debuts with the Dragons and above all the Challenge Cup Final at Wembley. I have now to keep on working hard to become one of the best Super League players in the years to come! "

Steve McNamara, Headcoach

“Mickael’s first full time contract is reward for his effort, commitment and desire that he has shown throughout 2018. From being a part time player to playing a significant role in our Wembley victory is a great lesson for all involved with our club. We look forward to seeing Micka continue his improvement in 2019 and beyond.”
