A superb performance from Josh Drinkwater ensured Catalans Dragons continued their revival as they claimed a 32-12 Betfred Super League win over Widnes Vikings.

The former Leigh half-back kicked six goals and had a hand in three tries as the Dragons came from behind to secure a fifth win in a row.

In Francis Cummins’ first game in interim charge following Denis Betts’ sacking last week, Widnes were looking to halt a losing streak that ran back to March but they failed to cross over after the break following first-half tries from Jay Chapelhow and Rhys Hanbury.

Danny Craven added a conversion to the opening score as the visitors took an early six-point lead before Hanbury's effort made it 10-0 but Catalans hit back through Tony Gigot, and Brayden Wiliame levelled the scores following a Louis Anderson break as Drinkwater kicked them ahead.

Six minutes after half-time Patrick Ah Van added a penalty as Widnes levelled the scores at 12-12 but further tries from Remi Casty, Kenny Edwards and Fouad Yaha put the Dragons out of reach.
