Warrington Wolves recovered from blowing an 18-0 half-time lead to beat Catalans Dragons 26-22 and go top of the First Utility Super League Super 8s.

The Wolves displaced Hull at the summit after Ben Currie's late try denied Catalans victory.

The visitors appeared to be in charge from the sixth minute when Declan Patton crossed.

atton added the goal, as he did after Kevin Penny touched down in the 19th minute. Patton then added his second try and third goal before half-time.

But Catalans recovered to within six points early in the second period with Vincent Duport and Richie Myler both crossing inside the first 10 minutes, with Tony Gigot kicking two goals.

A Patton kick put the gap up to eight before Ben Garcia crossed in the 66th minute. Then Gigot took charge, first adding the conversion before landing two penalties to give the Dragons the lead.

But with three minutes left, Currie went over and Patton landed his fifth successful kick to secure a memorable victory.
