Full-time deal for Bled, Le Cam and Laguerre

Catalans Dragons have agreed full-time contracts with young rising stars Sébastien Bled, Corentin Le Cam and Mathieu Laguerre.

The three players are products of the Catalans Dragons Academy system and have committed their future to the club for the next two years.

Bled, Le Cam and Laguerre, who are currently playing with the Dragons U19’s, joined the Super League training group during the pre-saison.

Mathieu Laguerre, 18, is a centre from Marseille while Le Cam, 18, and Bled, 19, are both playing in the back row and have joined the club Acadamy last season from the XIII Catalan and Baho respectively.

Bled, Le Cam and Laguerre have been key players of the Dragons U19’s team who reached the semi-final last season. They have also been key players of the France U18 team who beat England U18.

Catalans Dragons Headcoach Steve McNamara said: “I am delighted that Mathieu, Corentin and Sébastien have agreed professional terms for the Catalans Dragons. On the back of contributing heavily to make the play offs last year with our academy, strong performances for France against England in the academy test matches plus showing great attitudes whilst training with our first team squad in pre-season, they have thoroughly deserved it. We all look forward to seeing them develop further during 2018 within our academy set up and to eventually be pushing hard to gain a place in our First team squad over the next 2 years.”
